Peter Abramowski Peter - Proprietor
Agronomist (and part time truck driver) - Peter is closely involved in much of the agronomy work and, despite overall responsibility for the business, still takes every opportunity to persue agronomic issues for customers. Interests; Fishing, tennis & golf (if he can get the rust out!) and a good book.
Lyzette Lyzette - Store Manager
In addition to her responsibilities of store and staff management Lyzette advises many customers on animal health issues especially drench management of internal parasites. She provides advice on horse nutrition from the large range of feeds we have available. Interests; camping with the family, horses, especially hacking events with her daughters.
Kirsti Mandy - Office Manager
Mandy is responsible for all the really important things that happen behind the scenes; ensuring creditors get paid, stock receivals are done, staff are paid, debtors are kept up to date and a host of other administrative tasks that are critical to the business.
Ferrying her boys backwards and forwards to sports keeps her on the go when she’s not at work.
Trent Trent - Pumps & Irrigation, Sales, Advice & Design
Trent is a licenced plumber with very wide experience including a lot of mechanical plumbing work in recent years in Canberra on large commercial projects. He doesn’t want to travel for work anymore at the expense of his young family and feels he’s done his time on the shovel. Trent is really enjoying the new challenges and learning opportunities that Bega Ag is affording him in pump and irrigation design work. He’s kept busy with kids and also plays AFL for the Tathra Sea Eagles.
John John - Repairman
John has been repairing mowers, trimmers and chainsaws for many years. He's a gun at identifying problems in small engines and we're fortunate to have somebody with such great skills in the workshop. John recently hails from the Albury area, plays off an insane golf handicap of about 1 and is really looking forward to fishing our wonderful coastline.
David Crowford David - Agronomist
David comes from Gippsland where he gained experience in a very sophisticated fertilizer market. He spends much of his time on farms helping customers put together cost effective fertilizer programs. David is also working his family’s orchard near Bemboka so he’s well versed on the vagaries of our weather. In his spare time he custom builds fishing rods & fishes when he can.
Lyle Lyle – Sales
Lyle has principal responsibility for counter sales, manages communication through the counter diary and follows up special orders. He has a special interest in poultry & rabbits with his own commercial enterprise and a small animal abbattoir. Lyle provides customers with nutrition advice and setting up feeding & watering systems. Interests; Fishing, golf, bush camping and camp oven cooking.
Eric Eric - Sales
Eric mainly covers sales in the outdoor equipment and irrigation sides of the business. He brings a wealth of experience in mowers and spare parts. In his spare time, Eric loves to do up older cars.
Bevan Bevan - Pump & Irrigation wokr ih the field
Bevan managed the family dairy farm at Bemboka until it was sold in 2010. He brings with him all the knowledge and practical skills developed on the farm. Bevan supervises irrigation and pump installations in the field, is certified to perform butt-welding and electro-fusion of poly pipelines. He also repairs pumps and drives the truck when he has time. Bevan keeps pretty busy with a young family and doesn’t get to play golf as much as he’d like.
Tim Tim - Yardman
Tim is responsible for mixing feed and fertiliser blends and getting them on the truck for delivery. He also keeps the yard and warehouse tidy and receives incoming goods from suppliers. Tim is currently undertaking an Ag Science degree at CSU in Wagga.
Adam Adam - Mechanic
Adam is a qualified fitter and turner and can turn his hand to most mechanical and repair work. Prior to joining Bega Ag, Adam was reconditioning second hand ride-on mowers as a sideline come hobby. Adam has put in a very ambitious vegie patch at home which he really enjoys working in but it means he doesn’t get to fish much these days in the boat he fixed up.
James James - Apprentice Mechanic
James is in his first year of a small engine mechanic’s apprenticeship. He helps John, Adam and Bevan in the workshop. James does a lot of mower pick up and deliveries, cleans down equipment prior to servicing and is increasingly undertaking service and repairs under supervision. James loves working on machinery and also does plenty of it in his spare time.
Ron Ron - Sales (part time)
Ron's first job at Bega Ag was customer deliveries on his pushbike from the old Co-op store & he's been here ever since! It just wouldn't seem the same without him. Ron works Fridays & Saturday mornings at the sales counter. Interests; Ron loves bowls, having a drink with his mates. He's been a staunch patron and supporter of the RSL for years.
